Love, Laughter, and a Dinosaur: A Day to Remember
Tracy and Markus’ Wedding in St Kew was nothing short of a festival—literally! This down-to-earth couple, who first connected on a dating site during the COVID lock down, brought their vibrant personalities and love for fun to their special day at the stunning Cornish Tipi Weddings, Cornwall.
Cornish Tipi Weddings: A Venue Like No Other
The perfect backdrop for Tracy and Markus' celebration
Nestled in the heart of Cornwall, the Cornish Tipi Weddings venue with its vast open spaces, serene lake, and endless photo opportunities, it’s no wonder they chose this spot.
Despite starting out as a wet and windy day, the weather couldn’t dampen the spirits of this lively couple or their guests.
In fact, the late-day sunshine only added to the festival vibe.
Festival Vibes and Unique Twists
From the moment guests arrived, it was clear that this was not going to be your typical wedding.
Tracy and Markus embraced a festival theme with all the trimmings—a live ska band, a bucking bronco, and even a bake-off competition!
But perhaps the most memorable moment was when a dinosaur (yes, you read that right) made a surprise appearance during the ceremony.
As the couple had a reading “A lovely love story – Edward Monkton”, the dinosaur added a humorous and whimsical touch, delighting everyone present.
Rain or Shine, the Party Goes On
Tracy and Markus are as easygoing as they come, and they didn’t let the rain get in the way of their big day.
Tracy rocked a white 3/4 length wedding dress paired with bright pink Doc Martens, while Markus looked sharp in a navy three-piece suit and an eye-catching animal print shirt. To top it off, he wore a bright pink tie that perfectly matched Tracy’s boots.
The rain? Just another part of the adventure! Armed with a clear umbrella, I was able to turn the downpour into an asset, capturing some incredibly intimate and unique shots that truly reflect the couple’s laid-back and fun-loving nature.
Capturing the Magic
One of the highlights of the day was photographing the couple by the lake.
One of the challenges of being a wedding photographer in Cornwall is the weather. But despite this, the serene setting provided a stunning backdrop that perfectly encapsulated the love and joy of the day.
Tracy and Markus had requested a mix of candid and arranged photos, and by blending in with their guests and embracing the day’s spontaneous moments, I was able to document their wedding as it unfolded naturally.
A Celebration to Remember
As the sun began to set and the rain gave way to a golden evening light, the festival atmosphere only grew stronger. Children played with bubbles, a ska band kept the energy high, and the mix of laughter and love was palpable.
Tracy and Markus’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are—fun, down-to-earth, and ready to celebrate life’s best moments with the people they love.
This was a wedding where every moment was filled with joy, laughter, and a few unexpected surprises (like that dinosaur!).
It was a pleasure to be part of such a special day and to capture the unforgettable memories that Tracy and Markus will cherish for a lifetime.
