From Scotland to Cornwall: Capturing Love and Family in Stunning Surroundings
When Livvy and Shaun decided to travel from Scotland to Bude, Cornwall for their couples wedding shoot, they knew they were in for an adventure. Having previously visited Cornwall to see family, they fell in love with the area and wanted to capture their special moments against its breathtaking backdrops.
A Journey Through North Cornwall
Our day began at Crackington Haven, where the tide was out, revealing a sandy expanse perfect for capturing serene shots with a dramatic backdrop. The overcast sky added a touch of drama with its swirling clouds, and the occasional sunbeam that peeked through created some truly magical photos.
From Crackington Haven, we made our way to Breakwater Road in Bude. The iconic breakwater and Summerleaze Beach provided a classic Cornish seaside setting. Livvy and Shaun, dressed elegantly for the occasion—Livvy in a full-length white lace dress with a floral headband, and Shaun in a grey tweed suit—looked fantastic against the rugged coastline.
Next, we ventured to Duckpool, known for its stony beach and picturesque bridge over a little river in the fields. The raw natural beauty of Duckpool added an extra layer of charm to their photos, and the kids, dressed for the occasion, played naturally, making for some heartwarming family shots.
Our final stop was Widemouth Bay and the South West Coast Path, where the sunset and powerful waves created an unforgettable backdrop. The cliff-top views and the crashing surf added a dramatic finish to our shoot, showcasing Cornwall’s stunning coastal scenery at its best.
Family Moments and Fun
Livvy and Shaun’s shoot wasn’t just about capturing their love—it was also about celebrating their family. Their son, looking dapper in a suit, and their baby girl, in a cute little dress, joined in the fun. We took some wonderful group family photos and captured candid moments of the kids playing together, which added a joyful and relaxed vibe to the day.
Capturing the Magic in Cornwall
One of the standout moments of the day was Livvy and Shaun walking and talking along the breakwater in Bude. The image of them strolling together with the coastline stretching out behind them became a favorite and was featured prominently in my advertising. It perfectly encapsulated the essence of their love and the beauty of the Cornish landscape.
